Types of cable lugs

Lugs for higher current applications are called barrel lugs. These types have to be crimped on to the wire using a hydraulic crimper. A smaller type of lug is a block lug that used Allen Keys to tighten it to a conductor. The smallest type of lug used mostly for grounding junction boxes and control panels uses a screwdriver for tightening the lug to the conductor.
