How do you get from Columbia SC to Baltimore MD using public transportation?

Amtrak has a daily train between Columbia and Baltimore called the Silver Star. Going southbound, the train leaves Baltimore at 2:00 pm and arrives in Columbia at 1:44 am the next day. Northbound, the train leaves Columbia at 4:08 am and arrives in Baltimore at 4:15 pm.
