Does light affect fish motions

Yes, some fish prefer subdued lighting and some prefer brighter lighting. If a fish prefers subdued lighting and the lights are bright, the fish will do nothing but hide from the light and, if it cannot hide, the fish will begin to stress out and possibly act differently (more aggressive, etc).
