Do banner health centers pay to donate blood?

While the FDA does allow blood collection centers to compensate for blood donation, there are currently no centers in the U.S. that pay the donor. Blood components collected from such donors must be labeled "Paid Donor" instead of "volunteer donor". As such, regional hospital transfusion services are reluctant to accept such products.
