How do I fit a kings mattress into a small entry way?

I am giving this advice from personal experience. I have a king-size bed in a very small bedroom. We literally laid down over the sides of the mattress to bend it down, and we slid it in that way. I do not recommend putting two twins together, as they have a way of sliding apart.
