You can start by taklking about your underwear with him, especially if you have silky knickers. Does he like them? Pass them to him and ask if he likes the feel, then would he like to try them on. If he protests, leave them lying around, so that he has the opportunity to try them when you are not around to watch. If he is a much bigger size than you, be prepared for a bit of stretching until you can get him his own. When you get evidence that he has tried them - no need for detail here - buy him a pair of his own and put them in his drawer.
