Prepare the new plant bed before transplanting. While in the dormant stage, dig up the tubers with a garden trowel. Divide tubers, making sure each part has a growth eye and a root system. Plant the tubers in the fall. Cyclamen like partial shade and nutrient-rich, loamy soil.
