Yes. Not only fair, but up to a certain point parents are almost legally obliged to know where any of their children are. Once past that point, and when the children have gained independence enough to earn their privacy, the tracking could be somewhat lowered in accuracy or in the frequency of any tracking.

So long as it is fair to expect parents to look after their children feed, and educate them it is fair to have the parents in a position to know what they are up too. Not only is it fair it is their responsibility to know where they are and what they are doing.<br>
