Was Charles Lindbergh sir a Nazi?

It was rumored he was highly sympathetic to the Nazi brass and in fact recveived awards from the Nazi Govt ( Unrelated to flight achievements) the Industrialist Henry Ford- founder of Ford Motor co- was also a borderline Nazi and propagandized in the controlled newspaper ( Dearborn independent) anti-semitic tirades. I have even heard his real name was Karl ( German equivalent of Charles) Von Lindemann ( Man of the Ground, odd translation for an aviator!) there was a Von Lindemann who was a big shot in the Bund ( nazi federated social organization) one wonders. If he wsas a double agent, and it was unheard of for any officer of the Army ( which he was, and a Colonel at that) to be involved in Politics while on active duty ( which would not apply to Grant and Eisenhower, naturally) and it does seem Charlie got a little big for his Boots and may, yes, have at the very least been a shady character. Franklin Presidelt ( good nickname there) was hesitant to attack such a popular media hero- there are some paralells with the modern Spector trial, which was not, thankfully federal or political.
