What effect does Dussel's arrival have on the Anne Frank Family?

well i don't know that much, but it may be that Dussel turned them in to get a reward for capturing the Jews. Anne Franks father survived the holocaust or whatever it was called and then later had them publish his daughter, Anne's, diary.
