Who collected and cataloged new plant and animal species in Lewis and Clark?

The collection and cataloging of new plant and animal species during the Lewis and Clark Expedition were primarily conducted by Meriwether Lewis and William Clark themselves, with significant contributions from their team member, naturalist and artist Paul Allen.
