He was born in the place where his tribe had settled in 1804 . When the Lewis and Clark met Sacajawea she had the baby with her. In the only graffiti left by the team there is a site that Clark climbed up a large rock and inscribed his name and the date 1806. This is called Pompeii's Pillar and is a historical site today.
