Is endometrial thickness 17mm is a sign of cancer?

I hope not mine is 17 mm thick and the consultant said he was not overly concerned but how can he tell? Any competent dr should do a biopsy or further investigate, we are not all text book cases! Nhs drs treat their patients like guinea pigs, they don't care whose life they mess up!
