What year did the Windsor castle burn down?

William the Conqueror first built the artificial hill and the wooden structure of the castle between 1070 and 1086. A paint restorer was working on the current restoration taking place in the Queen's Private Chapel in 1992. He was using a 1,000-watt halogen lamp for his work. At about 11:33 AM the lamp caught a curtain on fire. One of the upgrades over the years was an alarm system and the Fire Brigade was alerted.

It was caught on fire as the lamp set a curtain on fire (basically) :)
