What don't french people eat that Americans do eat?

Actually completely false, McDonalds is a popular restaurant among young people in France. The Sandwiches there are much more modest than in the States, there's no double quarter pounders or anything like that. The ambiance in a French McDonalds is markedly different from the dirty commonplace McDonalds in the states. Still if you're a vistor to France... avoid the McDonalds if you can. French cuisine is among the best in the world, enjoy it while you are there.
