Where is pyelostomy tube place and how does it drain?

A pyelostomy tube is placed in the renal pelvis, which is part of the kidney, typically during a surgical procedure. It connects the renal pelvis to the outside of the body, allowing urine to drain directly from the kidney, bypassing any obstructed areas in the urinary tract.
