Echo weedeater starts then after going for a while dies out?

when did you last clean the air filter? or the rest of the machine for that matter? you should clean it after each use! check to see if a string is wraped around the rotor head preventing it from working, have you got enough fuel in it? did you put too much oil in the fuel (it should be 2%)?
