Where is OBD port location on 2006 ford explorer xlt?

The OBD-II port on a 2006 Ford Explorer XLT is located beneath the dashboard, near the driver's side. Specifically, you can find it to the left of the steering column, just above the brake pedal. You may need to remove a cover or reach under the dash to access it.
