Harry Ferguson invented HIS tractor in the late 1930's. He wanted a simple reliable tractor and that's what he made. According to a friend of mine who is a farmer and has 3 old Ferguson tractors, Harry's greatest invention was the '3 point linkage', that allowed many pieces of equipment to be virtually part of the tractor.
