Who should give a bridal shower?

That is a good question...if the engagment is broken or in the case of divorce..who does keep the shower gifts...are those the brides, the grooms, or separated according to the giver?

First of all, don't use your gifts til AFTER the wedding. If the engagement is broken off, gifts should be returned to the giver. If there is a divorce, be grown-ups and divide them fairly. The exception is gifts from family members should stay in that family, especially anything like heirlooms . To take something from the other person, like an embroidered tablecloth from Granny, would be just tacky.
