When was nelsons column erected?

Nelson's Column was erected between 1840 and 1843. It was built to commemorate Admiral Horatio Nelson, who died at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. The column stands in Trafalgar Square, London, and is topped by a statue of Nelson himself.
