How do you jump start a Harley Sportster?

To jump-start a Harley Sportster, first ensure the motorcycle is in neutral. Connect the positive (red) jumper cable to the positive terminal of the dead battery and the other end to the positive terminal of a charged battery or jump starter. Then, connect the negative (black) cable to the negative terminal of the charged battery and attach the other end to a metal ground on the bike, away from the battery. Start the vehicle supplying the charge, then attempt to start the Sportster.
