Did Elvis ever give away 100 pickup trucks at one time?

Listening to first hand accounts from JD Sumner (on YouTube) JD tells this story about Elvis saying to his dad he wanted to buy a pickup truck. His dad - knowing his son was not going to need a pickup truck as he was starting to become famous - Elvis instead went and bought 100 pickup trucks. He drove to farmers in the area and asked them 'do you want a pickup truck' or something like that

• and the truck was left for them. The title was delivered the next

day I understand.

Like I said...hard for folks to believe but ths story was told by JD himself whom I dont think anyone will argue with his sincerity.
