What inspired the write brothers to build an airplane?

The Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur, were inspired by their fascination with flight and the desire to solve the challenges of human transportation through the air. Their interest was ignited by the work of earlier aviation pioneers, particularly Octave Chanute and Sir George Cayley, as well as their own experiences with a toy helicopter in their childhood.
