When you inhale, air flows through the nasal cavity or mouth, then travels down the trachea. It enters the bronchi, which branch into the bronchioles in the lungs. Finally, the air reaches the alveoli, where gas exchange occurs. Thus, the five organs involved are the nasal cavity/mouth, trachea, bronchi, bronchioles, and alveoli.
