Where do the pilandok live?

The pilandok, also known as the Philippine mouse-deer or Tragulus nigricans, primarily inhabits the dense forests and grasslands of the Philippines, particularly on the islands of Mindanao and Luzon. They prefer environments that provide ample cover, such as thick underbrush and bamboo thickets, which aid in their camouflage from predators. These small, elusive creatures are mostly nocturnal and are often found near water sources.
