How did philosophy develop?

Philosophy developed with man. Because people have rational minds, once they had a chance to think of other things other than survival, they probably started to wonder. I mean, when you were a child, you couldn't think of things in an abstract view. now, though, you can start wondering, What is life about? why is that it? you know? that kind of things. Philosophy developed as man evolved.
