Why is March 21 important?

March 21st is so important because it is one of the two equinoxes. It is a day when there is an equal amount of daylight and darkness. In the northern hemisphere it is the first day of spring and the world rotates on its axis so we have longer and warmer days. In the Southern Hemisphere it marks the start of autumn.
