Before you grow a Cherokee Rose, make sure you have the room for an evergreen, climber that can be 12 feet tall and have a 15 foot spread. Grown on a fence, it is a good barrier plant.
- USDA Zones 7-9 with organically rich, medium moist, well drained soil.
- Full sun and good air circulation promotes vigorus growth and controls diseases.
- Roses prefer a pH of 5.5 to 7.
- Dig a deep, wide hole. Plant 8-12 feet apart.
- Plant as deep as the container they were in.
- Water regularly and mulch every year for moisture conservation.
