You can try freezing the food for 24 hours usually this will kill the bugs. Most bugs can go dormant in cold climates and then be back to normal when the temperature is back to room temperature though so it is not guaranteed that freezing will kill the pests. To prevent further infestations in your pets dinner, try keeping the food in an air tight container so the bugs can't get in.
