Sir Edmund Hillary's wifes

Sir Edmund Hillary married Louise Mary Rose on 3 September 1953, soon after the ascent of Everest. They had 3 children but his wife and one of the children were killed in a plane crash in 1977. Hillary was devastated. Later Sir Edmund married June Mulgrew, the widow of his close friend Peter Mulgrew, on 21 December 1989.
