that depends on many things. whether you bake at home, or at a bakery, or if you own that bakery. if you bake at home....it depends on how much you charge for the service versus the cost of what it takes to make it, depends how much time you put into it. and the use of the utilities to do it, for instance the oven uses gas or electricity, the appliances, besides you need your tools....various pans, utinsels, all the decorating equipment, etc. now if you work in a bakery, the pay rate reflects your knowledge of baking and decorating, and how much time you put into your creations. some pay by the piece, others by the hour. if you get payed by the piece, you need to be quick and produce a product that your customer can be proud of. the same thing applies hourly, but that depends on cost and demand, most bakeries will pay you between $7-8 per hours to start, and as is proven, salary will increase. now if you own your own business...that is a whole new headache. it is like having a home bakery, but on a bigger scale. you have to have all your tools, the building that you work out of and all the uilities. and what you don't pay in overhead will go as profit. and you get paid out of that and all your employees, too. your business depends on the profitability of your goods. i hope that answers your question...
