Some examples of non-verbal communication signals associated with a disagreement:
- Crossing of the arms
- Rolling of the eyes
- Pinching their lips tight
- Getting red in the face
- Pacing back and forth
- Narrowing of the eyes (this means they are angry!)
- The person that is angry is unconsciously (or conscious at times) of tearing up something; slamming down an item (such as setting the dinner table and slamming down the plates on the table.)
- Nostrils can flare
- Leaving the room where the disagreement is in progress.
- Leave the room and start doing something else and tuning the disagreement out.
- Just sits there with a blank stare and refuses to listen.
