When and how do floods cause?

they happen when it rains a lot or the rivers flood or a glacier melts there are lots of reasons. it happens when it is the rainy season . they are also caused when there is a dam burst or cloud burst. floods generally occur in coastal plains. Cyclonic activity may trigger this as well.
