Out of the eight remaining major planets, Neptunereceives the least amount of Sun energy.

The planet Neptune receives less solar heating than any other major planet, being farthest from the Sun. With a high internal heat, Neptune actually releases more than two-and-a-half times more energy than it receives.

Dwarf planets farther out than Pluto (e.g. Sedna, Eris) receive only a tiny, inconsequential bit of radiation from our Sun, which would appear as just a bright star at their great distance.

* Uranus, however, is the "coldest" planet, apparently due to its lower internal heat, lower tidal friction with moons, and its peculiar orientation with respect to the plane of its orbit.
