What is thykoloid membrane?

The thylakoid membrane is a specialized membrane found within chloroplasts in plant cells and in the membranes of cyanobacteria. It forms flattened, sac-like structures called thylakoids, which are organized into stacks known as grana. This membrane plays a crucial role in photosynthesis, hosting the light-dependent reactions where chlorophyll captures light energy to produce ATP and NADPH.
