It absolutely can. And I've done plenty of it, so I have credibility in speaking because I am a user arguing against a conventional-userist standpoint. Most meth heads would probably tell you no way, but then again try and find them in 5 years. Ritalin elevates your heart rate (on a varying degree depending on how much you abuse), and more importantly/damaging it causes an irregular heartbeat (in as little as 5-10mg when abused). So, it short, if you take more than your body can handle, Ritalin can absolutely kill you on the spot. More than likely though, it'll just cause some juicy complications later on in life (I'm willing to bet on the heart area). But hey, I'm not a doctor, just a med student.
