Well, the thing is, taking only small amounts of drugs like crystal meth, cocaine, and heroin is much, much easier said than done. All of these drugs are highly psychologically addictive, and opiates like heroin are physically addictive as well.

There are some people who are able to do drugs like these without forming a habit and becoming addicted, but for the majority of people, the craving to do more is almost completely irresistible.

If you are able to do just a few lines of crystal meth, five or six times a year (and if it comes from a dealer you know and trust), then that's great for you, and no, it's probably not going to kill you. But for most people, doing just a little bit once in awhile just isn't feasible.
