Who decides where your car is repaired when another vehicle hit it?

In Ontario, Canada - and, as far as I know, in all parts of Canada - the vehicle owner has the right to use the repair shop of their choice. The insurance companies involved cannot dictate the choice. This may not be the same in all jurisdictions of all countries.
