Pioneer female wrestler, The Fabulous Moolah, real name Mary Lillian Ellison, was eighty-four when she passed away in 2007. She won the NWA Wrestling championship in 1956. In the 1980s, Moolah became a part of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), and was defeated by Wendi Richter in the WWF Women's Championship in 1984. She was a prominent trainer and promoter for women's wrestling.
