What are the Disadvantages of law making in parliament?

Some disadvantages are in the end once the bill has gone through the whole process, the President can still veto the bill and it stays a bill, instead of becoming a law. Its like all that work for nothing, but we need to make sure the choices we make on our laws and bills are good choices for our countries.
