How do lions marry?

A dominant male lion may have several lioness's in his pride. Most lioness' are sisters or family members.

Lions do not, however, "marry." Humans are the only known species to hold formal ceremonies to bind people together. Lions court and mate, but have no marriage documents or wedding ceremony.
