What languages were spoken in Canaan?

The Canaanites spoke the following languages, depending on the region and time period:

1. Hebrew/Canaanite
   
2. Phoenician
   
3. Ammonite
   
4. Moabite
   
5. Edomite
   

Note: Hebrew and Canaanite were dialects of the same language, which led to the confusion that Hebrew evolved from Canaanite. In fact, the languages on this list are either dialects of Hebrew or closely related to Hebrew.
