What were the Irish perceptions about the English colonizers?

the answer is very simple and very easy to understand.

One very quick explanation is a matter of fact,

approx 2 million starved to death in the great famine and approx the same emigrated

All this happened when so called English Landlords who were given Irish lands,threw out of their own homes,the so called peasants because they could not afford the "rent" of their "own" homes.

What do you think the Irish would be thinking(and certainly to this day)about the "English Colonizers"
