What is scardossis?

Scleroderma, sometimes referred to as "scardosis," is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by the hardening and tightening of the skin and connective tissues. It occurs when the body produces too much collagen, leading to fibrosis and damage in various organs. Symptoms can vary widely and may include skin changes, joint pain, and internal organ involvement. There are two main types: localized scleroderma, affecting only the skin, and systemic scleroderma, which can affect multiple organs and systems.
