Who was the god of peace who killed Loki?

In the battle of Ragnarok Loki kills and is killed by Heimdallr, who is the guardian of the Bifrost bridge that connects Midgard to Asgard. I've never heard of him being referred to as the God of peace. They are the last two to be killed at Ragnarok.
