I think the best way to answer this question is to tell you briefly of my experiences. For some time, I have been in love with, and I mean in love with- this man much older than I who lives in California (I live in Bama Country). I have spoken with him online, practically stalked him online, and I genuinely believe we are in love. We are completely honest, we've tested each other, and it just feels right. Love cannot be logically explained- endorfins can, not love. Love is a feeling- it's knowing that mutually you could stand by him and he you under the best or worst of circumstances. If my Judd were in the hospital, dying of cancer, hopeless in a quest of survival, I would still stand there holding his hand and heart- and I would never cheat on him. If you both feel like you could die for each other, it's love. You could also look at it this way: if you were murdered, would he be your murderer? Oddly enough, "Yes" means love- because no one else would ever come that close to you. If you feel a tight, unbreakable in life or death, intense bond- that's love.
