it is a common 21st century misspelling of celsius as in anders celsius
the already incorrectly latinized name of the early 18th century swedish astronomer whose real & correct family name was incidentally hogen with 2 dots over the o
& who is perhaps best remembered for inventing the centigrade scale of temperature
tho he got it all backwards at the time by assigning 0 to the boiling point of water & 100 to the freezing point
which proves that anyone can make a mistake or 2
fortunately someone finally straightened it all out after he died by simply turning the scale around
tho his name & the name of the scale are both still remembered as celsius
if that is confusing
just remember the following handy trick
except under certain very rare & special conditions which you will probably never encounter
celcius equals sentigrade
