How do you get sweat or salt deposits off of eyeglass frames?

Eyeglass lenses and frames can be cleaned with water and a soft cloth. Other methods of cleaning include Windex or another window or glass cleaner and a soft cloth. Many times the glasses may be taken to the eye-doctor where they were purchased and office may be able to clean the glasses for the customer/patient.
