How do you cut down a tree that is hung up?

If you plan to do this yourself, please do your family the favor of making sure your insurance is paid up. Be sure that somebody is filming the attempt because it will be Excellent for AFV or YouTube...

• Hitch a hoist (come-along) to the tree and try to get it to start moving again.

• Get a pole saw and cut away the limbs that are hanging it up.

• Cut more of the trunk off so it will drop straighter.

Be sure to hook guide lines to it so it will fall where you want it to.
